We want to remind our members about Industry Bulletin 173, which Building and Energy issued to inform the industry about changes that came into effect on 1 May 2026

The changes apply to WA's Plumbers Licensing and Plumbing Standards Regulations, the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) and Australian Standards AS/NZS 3500.

On 1 May 2026, the Regulations adopted the 2025 edition of the PCA (PCA 2025) as the primary standard that applies to plumbing work in WA, replacing PCA 2022.

PCA 2025 has adopted the 2025 edition of AS/NZS 3500 Parts 1, 2, and 4, replacing the 2021 edition.
