On Tuesday 3 June 2025, the Fair Work Commission announced this year's increase to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award wages.

The increases are the result of the Annual Wage Review.

  • The National Minimum Wage will increase by 3.5 per cent to $948.00 per week ($24.95 per hour), based on a 38-hour week
  • Minimum wage rates in Modern Awards will also increase by 3.5 per cent

The increases apply from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July 2025.

They affect the Plumbing and Fire Sprinklers Award 2020, Clerks - Private Sector Award 2020, Building and Construction General On-site Award 2020, and General Retail Industry Award 2020.

When new pay guides are published, we will update the links on the Compliance page of the Resources section in our members-only area.
