Employment contract templates have been updated

Business management

We've added some new and updated employment contract templates to our ever-expanding collection of members' resources.

While employment contract templates have long been among free resources on offer for members of The Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA, they have benefited from a recent refresh.

Having a set of employment templates that are ready to use (apart from some simple customisation) can save you time when bringing a new employee on board or updating an existing employee's contract. It makes the compliance work involved with being an employer just that little bit easier and you can be certain you are using documents that are correctly worded.

From your new employee's point of view, a professionally written and designed document shows them they are joining a business that does things properly.

The templates are editable Word documents. You just need to download them, then add your logo and details such as your company name and business address and your employee's name, commencement date, wage rate and any special conditions that apply to them.

The templates available are

  • Contract of Employment – Casual (existing employee)
  • Contract of Employment – Casual (probationary employee)
  • Employment Agreement (Apprentice – full time)
  • Contract of Employment – Full-time (current employee)
  • Contract of Employment – Full-time (probationary employee)

How Association members can find the templates

Members should log into the members-only area and select the 'Employment and Industrial Relations' page under Members' Resources (on the left-hand side of the page). Once on 'Employment and Industrial Relations', scroll all the way down the page.
