Attention plumbers – you may have heard of Therm-Oz products, but do you know when to recommend them to customers?
The Therm-Oz company is one of our long-standing Associate Members and the owners, Rob and Sarah Pond, are familiar faces at our Plumbing Industry Trade Days.
Their thermostatic shower products have clear advantages over standard mixer showers, including easy replacement of two-tap systems and 44 per cent water saving compared to a standard two-tap manual shower. As well as being an obvious choice for bathroom upgrades, they are especially useful for households with elderly people or small children who need protection from scalding, or where multiple people are turning on taps at the same time.
We believe in plumbers giving helpful advice to consumers and we want to support our Associate Members. So, when customers ask you questions like the following, tell them about Therm-Oz.
- Can we upgrade our manual two-tap system to Therm-Oz without removing bathroom tiles or replacing pipework? Yes, that is one of the advantages of Therm-Oz.
- Can we have a constant temperature that is safe for small children and the elderly? Yes, Therm-Oz mixes hot and cold water to a constant pre-set temperature of 38 degrees.
- Can we have a thermostatic shower that prevents accidental changes to the hot water temperature? Yes, the Therm-Oz mixer has a built-in safety feature to prevent the temperature from accidently increasing or decreasing.
