We’re a proud, locally owned and operated business based in Millars Well, Karratha, which we’ve called home for the past 36 years. Our kids grew up here, went to school in Karratha, and now have families of their own in the community.  

Cowan’s Plumbing was founded in 2012 and officially kicked off operations in 2014. Starting out as a one-person operation, we’ve grown steadily and now run with six service vehicles, two skilled tradesmen, and two third-year apprentices. My daughter also works part-time in the office, rounding out our close-knit team.  

Since day one, we’ve delivered top-quality services to major clients like Dampier Salt and Rio Tinto Iron Ore. Our skills cover statutory compliance, backflow testing and maintenance, wastewater treatment plant servicing, and emergency repairs to above- and below-ground water mains. We’re also experts in HDPE “poly” welding, including electrofusion, butt welding, and extrusion welding—a rare specialty for one of our key clients.  

Alongside our industrial and commercial projects, we offer a full range of plumbing services to domestic and commercial customers around Karratha, including maintenance work for real estate agencies and private property owners.
