When compliance with Australian Standards is a legal requirement, why should plumbers - or anyone for that matter - be forced to pay for them?

For years, we have been working hard behinds the scenes via our peak national body, Master Plumbers Australia and New Zealand (MPANZ), to push the case for free access to Australian Standards.

The fight is continuing, with WA being represented on the MPANZ board by our Immediate Past President Geoff Kelly and CEO Murray Thomas.

It seems we are moving closer to success, with the entire construction industry getting media attention about this issue and politicians eager to find ways to improve productivity.

What a great outcome it will be when Australian Standards are free, as they should be.
