Yes, we've been in business since 1901, the same year Australia become a nation, and we're still going strong. That's worth celebrating.

To make sure everyone knows about it, we've created a special 125 Year Anniversary logo, which we'll be using throughout 2026.

Back in 1901, Australia had a population of about four million, and WA had about 190,000. The regulated plumbing industry that we know today was still in its infancy, having emerged in response to widespread social and health issues related to water-borne diseases.

How things have changed! But one thing that will never change is the importance of the work our members and their staff do every day. Let's be proud to be plumbers, and even prouder to be members of The Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association of WA.
