Water Corporation and Aqwest are offering rebates up to $500 to residential customers who replace old toilets with new water-efficient toilets.
The Waterwise Toilet Rebate is a contribution towards the cost of replacing a single flush (one button) toilet or a dual flush toilet installed before 1995.
Conditions apply, including a requirement for a licensed plumber to perform the installation.
There are 400 rebates available for toilet purchases and installations completed between 1 July 2026 and 31 May 2027. The program will close earlier if all rebates are used.
The new toilet must be either:
- WELS 4-star or higher water rated toilet ($400 rebate)
- WELS 5-star toilet with an integrated hand basin ($500 rebate)
Customers can claim a rebate for up to two toilets per property. The application process requires them to submit detailed information including proof of purchase and installation by a licensed plumber, and 'before' and 'after' photos.
