Members are encouraged to read this communication from ATCO about the decommissioning of the Albany Gas Network.

"The Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) has approved an amendment to ATCO’s gas distribution licence (GDL8) to remove the obligation to offer connection of residential customers to the Albany Gas Distribution System.

This amendment was requested in advance of ATCO commencing the decommissioning of the Albany network in 2027.

The ERA has published a notice outlining its decision, which members can view on the ERA website here.
