WaterMark awareness campaign

Industry news

In early April 2022, the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) will launch the ‘LOOK for the WaterMark’ campaign to raise awareness of the WaterMark Certification Scheme.

The campaign is in response to low awareness of the WaterMark Certification Scheme and the potential pitfalls of using uncertified products.

The WaterMark Certification Scheme ensures plumbing and drainage products are fit for purpose and authorised for use. It’s important that everyone - which means consumers, product suppliers and retail staff as well as contractors and tradespeople - understands its importance.

The campaign will include a communication resources toolkit that will allow you to choose how you tell your particular audience about WaterMark. It will include:

  • Key messages
  • FAQs
  • Fact sheets
  • Articles
  • Digital banners
  • Social media tiles and copy
  • Video content
  • Posters

Why join the campaign

By supporting the ‘LOOK for the WaterMark’ campaign, you will be helping to ensure that Watermark certified products are used and consumers make informed purchasing decisions. This will help to avoid the potential consequences of not using certified products, such as the costs of replacing materials, product failure causing poor health outcomes and building damage, and possible voided insurance.
