Starting from 1 December 2023, the WA Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has been renamed the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS).
The WA Government announced the rebranding on Friday 3 November, saying the change reflects the importance of WA's energy sector.
The Plumbers Licensing Board, which issues and renews plumbing licences, is part of the Building and Energy Division of DMIRS.
