Tougher Penalties for Workplace Health and Safety Breaches
What does that mean for the Plumbing Industry?
MPGA and SafeX will host a series of workshops to help members understand the new penalties for breaches of Health and Safety laws.
Plumbing is the third most common occupation to suffer injuries in WA, so the risk of being prosecuted under new health and safety legislation is real.
The workshops will cover:
- The significant increase in penalties - understanding the impacts to Directors, Companies and Employees
- What you need to do to protect yourself, your business and your workers
- How we can work together to create a safer plumbing and gas fitting industry
- Question and answer session
